The Sociolgy of Leopard Man
In the well-written paper called "The Sociology of Leopard Man", Logan Feys explain how society views people like leopard man, those society calls "freaks". Leopard Man unlike how Logan says, isn't discouraged by people or live by what they say. Logan Feys describes in great detail that the reason people are the way they are and not unique and outgoing is because socioty doesn't let them. I personally agree with Feys, as I actually find it a sickness when people try to hard to fit in.
In Feys paper "The Sociology of Leopard Man", he explains Leopard Man as being a person who doesn't care about being Diffrent, or a non- conformist. A non conformist explains more like a person who likes to be diffrent and prefers to be themselves. He also explains in the contrary that a conformist, is someone who lives to please society. This is to him and me, a dangerous disease.
Conformity is good, at a certain limit of course. Feys decribes conformity as "The worlds most common but dangerous psychological disease". This is very true, for a lot of people would do whatever it takes to fit in. Disorders form when this happens, such as eating disorders, depression. For example if Fat Amy, is being called fat, she is going to stop eating just to be skinny and please society. This type of disorders can lead to death.
Another thing is, conformity is it really all that great? Imagine having one Waldo, he wasn't easy to find and when found he was special, because there is only one of him. Now imagine a world, of over six billion Waldo's. Not only is that dangerous, but also very boring. There is no way humans are going to be able to prosper, with everyone having the same ideological thoughts.
Non- conformist is someone who doesn't like to be like anybody else. As Feys decribed he doesn't find people who are over due non conformity. Tatted, metal in there lips, hair products running through there hair, could be traits of a non conformist. Unfortunately, Feys finds this pathetic and just see this people in thirst for society's attention. I find this true, for a Lil Wayne looking guy is going to stand out more, then a guy with a polo shirt.
In the end, where can someone really stand? We'll see no one said you couldn't be both. In my personall opinion, I think everything in its abuse is bad, either being a conformist or a non conformist. The worlds most known hero's have been non conformist. So be a non conformist, but also a conformist.

Vocabulery #9

As I sit here writing this blog, there is a box of savory looking donuts, just enticing me to go get one and pig out. Unfortunately I can't since there not mine but my cohort. How can he be so tactless to my personal appetite needs and just leave them there? Does he have no integrity? It doesn't seem like he does. As time is passing by, I am becoming aloof to writing this assignment, because those donuts just goad me with their chocolate glazed with sprinkles all over covering, and their just sitting there in a pink box. I came to the conclusion that my suffering should be compensated with a donut. My cohort now has eleven donuts.

Five Things You Can Do To Research for a Paper Due in Class on Wednesday

  1. Choose Your Topic. Choosing your topic is the most important thing in your paper, as you paper is going to talk about that specific topic. Be careful when choosing a topic, don't choose something you can't talk much about. Also make sure to choose a topic that would interest the reader, if its your professor choose something you think they would like to read, if its your friends, choose something they would like to read, etc.
  2. Look for information on your online. Looking online is by far the easiest and more efficient way to look for information on your topic. If you do make sure the source is relatable and not controlled by the normal human population. Sources of this nature include “Wikianswers.com”, “Ask.com” etc. Make sure your sources are reliable.
  3. Look for information at the library. Sometimes the old ways are the best. Especially if you're not in excess of a computer. Go to your local library! The library is a more time consuming way of looking for information, but it is reliable.
  4. Take notes. You are not going to put every single word you read on your essay, that's plagiarism, and you will go to St. Quentin State Prison. Instead of serving time, take notes! Taking notes is definitely an efficient way of acquiring information without have to carry books or always have to look at the website. Besides only some of the information useful, for the rest are just details. You just want the main ideas.
  5. Organize. Organization is a must. If its at work, school, or just simply your house. If you don't have organization you don't have order. So organize your ideas, and therefore you’ll make paragraphs, and eventually you’ll make an essay. A good tip to follow is to always put the most intriguing information in your first body paragraph in order to get the reader’s attention. Follow this, and you’ll have a paper, ready to go by Wednesday.

My Favorite Mistake Essay

My Favorite Mistake
Throughout my lifetime I’ve done a lot of wrong but also a lot of good. I’ve made mistakes, but I have one that is my favorite. It’s a simple one, but it made me change the way I think, even if it was just slightly. It all started on a pleasant Saturday afternoon, backtrack six years ago.
Six years ago I never would’ve thought that my way of thinking was going to change forever. See on this Saturday afternoon, six years ago, I was sitting on the couch. My mom’s friend was making me lunch, and I watching what any ordinarily nine year old would watch, “Tom and Jerry”. My mom’s friend called me by saying
“Brandon! Lunch is ready!” she shouted because she likes to shout.
"I responded by saying “Okay Betty be there in a second, the show is almost over”
“Watch the show later, your food is getting cold” she madly responded.
“No! It’s almost over! Hold Up!” I said raising my voice slightly.
She angrily screamed “Brandon Bernal Gomez! Turn that TV off now!”
I shouted back “No!” while I threw the controller, and the TV switched the History Channel. I then proceeded to march into my room, and I angrily just went to sleep. I woke up around four hours later, at the sound of my father knocking at my door. He angrily told me to tell Betty sorry, and I did. Next he told me to sit down and for the rest of the week, I was going to watch the History Channel, and he was going to hide the remote.
You actions are always going to have consequences, sometimes good and sometimes bad, choose what you do wisely” he told me.
I never forgot those words, and I still have them up in my brain, whispering to me as I’m about to make my next move in life. As for the History Channel, I learned many things and I discovered one of my favorite quotes of all time. I also changed my mind from wanting to be an FBI Agent, to something more beneficial to myself. With that my Saturday came to a conclusion and I went to sleep, while I dreamed about those words.

Vocabulery Sentences #8

In the paper "The Sociology of Leopard Man", Feys expressed his ornery toward people who over tattoo themselves and try to be "freaks" of society just to get attention. In my personnel opinion I don't agree but I don't disagree with Feys. I find people that do that indolent, because if you want societies attention why don't you do something with your life besides sit in a chair, or go work at a minimum paid job. I don't mean to belittle anyone by this, but in a way people like that just put future generations in jeopardize. If young kids see this it's going to be malignant for them, they are growing up in a world where one person tells them to dress up in a suit and be good, but the other half is telling them its okay to get tattoos just because you like them, its okay to put a hole in your lip, its looks good. This type people are never going to demise, why? because people need attention. Everyone tries to get it, some the frugal way or some the hard way. An example of the frugal way? being a "freak", an example of the hard way, getting from that chair and actually do something with your life. I myself cant call myself a perfect person, somethings go awry or not according to plan but that's life, deal with it.
